Sharda University inaugurates “Jain Study Center”
Sharda University inaugurates its first Delhi/ Ncr’s Jain Study Center in Greater Noida Campus. Along with this, Sharda Health City Superspeciality Hospital was also inaugurated. The Hospital and study center was inaugurated by Jain spiritual Guru Ji, Punjab Kesari Acharya Shrimad Vijay Nityanand Surishwarji Maharaj Ji .During the Program, Maharaj Ji delivered spiritual and motivational talks to students, scholars and staff members of Sharda family. More than 1500 people across India participated during the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Guru Ji, Punjab Kesari Acharya Shrimad Vijay Nityanand Surishwarji Maharaj Ji stated “Sharda University has made an immense contribution in the field of education. Sharda has always been associated with Jainism and this is the reason why good values can be seen in students as well. Education and culture are an important part of a student’s life, and are very important to their development. There are many free treatments in Sharda Hospital and through this they are contributing by serving the people. Service to patients is considered one of the greatest services. We should all serve humans, then only life will be successful. Maharaj ji also congratulated on the inauguration of the hospital. Advising the students, Maharaj Ji said “To make any work successful, along with hard work, culture and discipline is needed. Through this study center, students will be able to learn a lot about Jainism, which will be useful for them in life.
YK Gupta, Pro Chancellor, Sharda University said “About 1250 beds run in Sharda Medical College and we are targeting to increase another 1200 beds in the next 2 years. This is going to be the biggest hospital in North India. We are working towards it and will be gaining strong visibility at the global level in coming years.
PK Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University said Jainism is a sattvic religion. In Jainism, there is a feeling of giving up most. Through this study center, students should learn about the culture and religion of Jainism. Even the students studying at Sharda University can opt for the Jain subject as an additional course which will be beneficial for them.
